Focus Financial Partners Donates $100,000 to
Support Mission of the Foundation for Financial Planning

(New York, NY and Tucker, GA – June 18, 2007) The non-profit Foundation for Financial Planning announced today that it received a $100,000 donation from Focus Financial Partners, the leading partnership of independent, fiduciary wealth management firms in the U.S.

The Foundation provides educational programs and other infrastructure necessary to help people deal with major financial decisions, usually under strenuous circumstances. It also has taken a leading role in funding the pro bono efforts of thousands of financial planners nationwide.

“The generous support of companies such as Focus Financial Partners, allows us to deliver quality programs and grants that help people take control of their financial lives,” said James A. Peniston, Executive Director of the Foundation. “These funds allow us to develop training classes, planning services, and offer grants to non-profit organizations that support outreach programs.”

The Foundation’s programs and its volunteers help a wide range of non-profit organizations that include veterans; victims of disasters, such as Hurricane Katrina; 9-11 surviving families, rescuers, and first-responders; high-school students; and low-income families. This donation is the latest effort by Focus Financial Partners to support financial literacy in the U.S. while also helping many others in need.

“Many of the Focus’ partner firms lead charitable activities in their local communities,” said Rudy Adolf, Focus Founder and CEO. “As Focus has emerged as the leading independent firm in the industry, our partner group decided that it was the appropriate moment to make this donation. Our fiduciary model is closely aligned with the Foundation’s mission and values. We call upon other firms to support the Foundation to help people who want a safe and secure financial future.”

About the Foundation for Financial Planning

The Foundation has also supported a series of workshops and one-on-one counseling to wounded service members returning from Iraq and Afghanistan at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and participated in the Wounded Warrior Program.
